Job Description

As development manager we are looking for a skilled professional who is passionate about bringing people and concepts together. The main tasks are focussed on:

• Explore and identify new entities working on innovative dual-use concepts
• Track and follow upcoming defense opportunities and funding programs for members.
• Organise meetings and workshops to brainstorm on new ideas & concepts.
• Focus on monitization and business models for the suggested innovation.
• Build long term supportive relationships with existing and new members.
• Represent the association at meetings, events and our members interests.
• Assist with feedback, advice and support on dual-use and defense matters.

Additional tasks emerge as the defense landscape emerges, so flexibility from an operational, administrative and business development point of view is an important requirement.

Qualifications

• Strong past experience in Defense and dual-use from the innovation and technology point of view.
• Great communicator with the ability to coordinate workshops, meetings and understands the complexity in uniting academic, business & defense stakeholders.
• Knowledge of National & European funding programs suitable for dual-use or defense.
• Fluent in English, Dutch & French.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with strong self-management skills.
• Belgian Nationality for Security Clearance
